Prayer and the God-Ideal, Series II

If you are here, you have registered for the Esoteric Studies class “Prayer and the God Ideal Series II.” These classes were offered by Murshid Wali Ali Meyer in 2003 in San Rafael CA to a group of committed mureeds.

As with Series I, the materials for each class consist of a combination of audio recordings in MP3 format and texts in PDF format.  Each class is intended to be absorbed over at least a month of study and practice.

The recordings have been grouped into Audio CD-length files, so that those wishing to burn their own CDs may easily do so.  The texts for the entire Series II are provided in a single pdf reader, designed for two-sided printing.  You may print the material yourself or take the pdf file to a copy-shop for printing and spiral-binding.  All files are provided in zip folders for ease of download.

Prayer and the God-Ideal, Series I

If you are here, you have registered for the Esoteric Studies class “Prayer and the God Ideal Series I.” These classes were offered by Murshid Wali Ali Meyer in 2003 in San Rafael CA to a group of committed mureeds.  The immeasurable benefit of practicing and studying with a small group or a partner has been seen in previous classes that have been provided in this format for students outside the Bay Area. Having the support of loving hearts in shared purpose can ease some of the challenges that face even the most committed practitioner. At the same time, a devoted student can work with this class alone.

The materials for each class consist of a combination of audio recordings in MP3 format and texts in PDF format. Practices are assigned to bring the wazaif ever more deeply into your heart and your life.  Experience, not concepts, will have actual effect.  Each class is intended to be absorbed over at least a month of study and practice.

You will find extended periods of silence at times, during meditations or where practices are held on the breath. Wali Ali has asked that the classes be provided in a way that would allow the student to take in the full experience of the class, and leaving the space for experience is intended to support this. If you wish, you can forward to the next track to skip the silences.

The materials have been divided into two series which allow a student to study in a self-paced fashion. Many students take two months or more to work with each session. The materials have been used in local study circles adapted to meet the needs of the group. Finding a study partner or group can be extremely helpful.
