These classes begin with an inner and outer program of study based on the use of the 99 Beautiful Names of Allah. They follow the guidance of Murshid Samuel Lewis, one of many Sufis who said that within these Holy Names is the actual answer to all human disability and need. Using different clusters of Divine Names, we will work to heal our psychological disconnection from the One and Only Being.

"Extended periods of recitation of these sacred phrases is an important part of the developmental program for mureeds as given by Hazrat Inayat Khan. The repetition of these divine Names, often in pairs and in relational families, is used as a means of God-realization. Part of this realization is to come into wholeness and integration of self, through a process of embodiment of the divine qualities and individuation. This process involves the healing of psychological wounds that reinforce our creation of a false ego, one marked by a painful sense of isolation. The practice expands the limitations imposed by the 'false self' into an increasing sense of the Real".  - Murshid Wali Ali Meyer

The materials have been divided into four series, allowing a student to study in a self-paced fashion. Many students take two months or more to work with each session. The materials have been used in local study circles adapted to meet the needs of the group. Finding a study partner or group can be extremely helpful.
