Deepening in the 99 Beautiful Names

These audio recordings are from a series of all-day classes beginning in 2007 with Murshid Wali Ali Meyer and Imam Bilal Hyde, sometimes joined by Pir Shabda Kahn. The classes were held when these three authors of Physicians of the Heart: A Sufi View of the Ninety-Nine Names of Allah were immersed in the subject matter as the book was forming through their inspiration.

A Journey through Physicians of the Heart - A Class on the 99 Names of Allah

This course on a Sufi view of the 99 Names of Allah is presented in the form of audio recordings of 27 monthly classes, from 2013 to 2015, following the release of Physicians of the Heart in 2011. Murshid Wali Ali walks listeners through the book chapter by chapter, with insights, practices, stories and discussion with a group of dedicated students attending the class the Mentorgarten in San Francisco.

A Journey through the Ninety-Nine Names of Allah

This class met twice per month at the Mentorgarten in San Francisco. Wali Ali teaches from Physicians of the Heart based on wazifah relationships and his inspiration. This wonderful series is available on video and audio.

Dharma Night with Murshid Wali Ali Meyer -- The Zen Masters Series 

Experience the teachings and biographies of Sokei-an Sasaki, Nyogen Senzaki and others, with the guidance and understanding of Murshid Wali Ali.  2017-2018, video and audio formats.

Early "Dharma Night" Classes 

Audio recordings and a few videos of Wali Ali's Dharma Night sessions from 2007 to 2012. This is a continuation of the classes first taught by Murshid Samuel Lewis.  Delve into teachings and practices from the Dharma traditions such as Hinduism and Buddhism.

Gatha Classes

Classes in Sufi mysticism, raning from early through advanced, are presented here. They are designed for mureeds initiated in the lineages of Hazrat Inayat Khan; others may take these classes by permission. Access to the classes includes selected texts from the writings of Hazrat Inayat Khan and Murshid Samuel Lewis. Spiritual practices and other assignments are provided to support the student's inner growth at the specific level of the focus of study. Please consult with your personal guide before seeking to access the materials. These classes are easily adaptable to one's own pace of study, practice and learning.

"Hazrat Inayat Khan's teachings on Sufism, along with the subsequent teachings of Murshid Samuel Lewis, are the core materials in our esoteric school. This can be briefly defined as a program of practices that may lead to spiritual realization and the fulfillment of the purpose of the soul in this lifetime. As the body of material is vast, it is important to have a structured approach to its assimilation. We have attempted to frame one in a fresh way for initiates on the path at this time."

Download Instructions for Murshid Wali Ali's Classes:

A class may offer one or more "zip" files, that contain multiple mp3 audio tracks from the associated class, and/or pdf files for any related documents.  The zip files are in the process of being moved to a Dropbox location.  If the zip file is on Dropbox, when you click on the name, you will get a screen offering you to download the zip file.  (You may also get other screens or popups offering you to subscribe to Dropbox, but this is not necessary.)  Just find the "Download" button and it will transfer the zip file to your computer.  Then you may move the saved zip file to the location of your choice on your computer.

If the zip file is not yet on dropbox, clicking the file will generate a popup asking you if you wish to download it, so just agree, and off you go!

Most operating systems will "unzip" (decompress) the files automatically when you open them and copy and paste the contents somewhere outside of the zip file. Or, you may again "right click" (or left click if you are using a left-handed mouse!) on the downloaded .zip file name, and select the option for expanding or "extracting" the files. It is helpful to save the files for each class in their own folder or sub-directory. The extracted mp3 files may be imported into iTunes or Windows Media Player, and either played directly, synced to an mp3 device or burned to an audio CD using the appropriate software.  The pdf files may be opened with Adobe Acrobat Reader, available free at adobe.com.
